A new tutorial has been added to the open educational resources of the Hellenic Spatial Statistics Lab. It follows the introductory guide to thematic mapping with Eurostat, sf, and tmap and focuses on the decisions that connect data to the final map.
The guide discusses the meaning and type of variables, selected classification methods, the search and evaluation of colour schemes, and alternative approaches to scaling proportional symbols. It is currently available in Greek.
